35 weeks

I turned 35 weeks yesterday and what a relief that was. I know if Lily comes even sometime this week she will be a preemie but she will be mostly developed and should weigh at least 5 lbs. I had a doc appt yesterday and had to take a stress test. I definitely felt contractions but he said it looked ok and now its to the point if I have them 5 min apart its time to head to the hospital. I am definitely getting anxious and excited now that the time has come to have her yet it terrifies me at the same time. Brandon helped pack the diaper bag Monday night and Ive started getting mine ready for when this little girl decides to come.

So far during the pregnancy I have only gained 14 lbs and Im hoping Im able to lose it all plus maybe a little more. My belly button has stayed an innie even though its looking pretty shallow.

34 weeks

yesterday I turned 34 weeks. I wont be doing anymore questionnaires sine I can't do this on my computer but ill try and update the best I can. I've had some big changes since last week. Friday I had my doc appt and after taking a stress test was sent to the hospital for having too many contractions. I spent all Fri night and sat there and got 4 shots to stop contractions and 2 steroid shots to help lily's lungs. I was finally released around 9 Saturday night. However I have been put on stage 3 bedrest until she arrives. Its gonna be a long 6 weeks. Unless she decides to come sooner. I also have to take a pill every 6 hours and get a shot every week at the doc to keep contractions from coming.

1 year!

Sunday was our 1 year anniversary! Since I had been in the hospital most of the weekend we weren't able to do any of our plans so we spent the day at my parents house. We were both pretty disappointed in how things had to turn out but the main concern right now is keeping me and the baby safe and healthy for a few more weeks. Hopefully next year we can have a nice romantic anniversary.

Scary night

Last night was definitely a not so pleasant/scary night. We had finished supper and Brandon went outside to finish mowing while I stayed inside with the dogs. It's just too dang hot for me out there anymore! After a little while I heard a noise of something on our wood floor. It was our little dog Marly flopping rolling around. I immediately thought he was choking on a bone he'd been given at supper. I watched him for a little bit but he never really acted like he was choking on anything, just started staggering and panting. We went outside and I got Brandon and showed him how he was acting.

When we came back in he looked like he was walking ok then his feet would collapse on him. I finally got on my phone and started googling his symptoms. I came to the conclusion that he may have gotten overheated. I then noticed he went into our bedroom, laid down and then threw up. At that point I thought I'd better call the vet (yes at 8:30 at night.) He told me that what I first noticed (him rolling around) was probably a seizure and he his sugar level had probably dropped causing the drowsiness/staggering. He recommended giving him karo syrup but of course we didn't have any so we squirted pancake syrup in his mouth and that helped him almost immediately. He didn't get up from laying down but he seemed more alert so we just let him lay there for a little while then he came with us in our bedroom and laid down and went to sleep when we did.

I got up to go to the bathroom duirng the night and he got up with me and was still staggering a little. This morning when I got up he got right up ready to go outside and tail wagging! I'm so thankful he's doing good now because I was so upset last night thinking I would lose him.

Braxton Hicks

It seems like I had quite a few BH contractions yesterday and last night. I think that's the first time I've really had them or they were just more noticeable but man they hurt!! I'm gonna start monitoring them from now on to make sure I don't have more than 4 in an hour since I still have almost 7 weeks left. I guess now I know what the onset of labor feels like.

33 Weeks

She's grown into a honeydew!

"Things are heating up inside as well: Baby may grow up to a full inch this week alone, and his brain is developing like crazy. Pretty soon, he'll be able to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing. Also, his bones are hardening, and he's started to keep his eyes open when he's awake."

Another week has passed by and I'm getting so ready for Lily to be here. I can't seem to find very many comfortable positions and my stomach doesn't feel like it can grow anymore. I feel like we're really behind on being prepared for her arrival. We still have to get a pack n play (or maybe just borrow a bassinet for now) and definitely the car seat. Since we didn't get much at the shower I'm pretty stressed about what all we need still....with only 7 weeks left to get it all....uggghhh.

How far along? 33 weeks

Maternity clothes? Mainly just pants and what shirts I have but I can still fit into some of my preprego shirts too.

Stretch marks? Yes at the bottom of my stomach and they seem to be increasing every day.

Sleep? Bathroom breaks every night and it's really hard to roll over now.

Best moment this week? Nothing....

Movement? Yes but I feel her just moving around more now instead of kicks. She's running out of room though so sometimes it almost hurts when she starts moving.

Food cravings? Mainly just ice cream like always

Gender? Still a GIRL!!!

Labor signs? Still Braxton Hicks and I seem to be feeling them more often now.

What I miss? Being able to roll over in bed, bend over, and fit into my normal clothes. Also being able to stay outside in the heat for a while and also not having to sit down after standing for not very long.

What I'm looking forward to? Getting the molding down over the floor and up against the ceiling then the "construction" phase of her room will be done.

Belly Button, innie or outtie? Innie still but it seems to be getting smaller.

Emotions: Excited, anxious, worried and of course I can't remember anything!

Milestones this week: None this week

Maternity Pictures

After my shower Sunday my cousin took a few maternity pictures of me. I think they turned out pretty good for what we had to work with.

Baby Shower!

We had our baby shower Sunday afternoon and I guess by we I should say I...or me and Lily because Brandon wasn't there except to come after it was over and pack up everything in the vehicle. :)

My mom, mother-in law, future sister-in law, and 2 cousins did a great job planning it.

We played a few games, including the string game where everyone cut a piece a string and tried to match it to the girth of my belly. It seems most people think I'm bigger than I am! My grandma ended up winning that one.

After the games everyone was able to get cake and punch and fill out their "Baby Bingo" card.
After I got done eating cake, I proceeded to open presents. The guests had to listen to what I received and mark each off their Bingo sheet and whoever got a bingo first won a prize.

Blanket my Aunt made
I also received 2 very cute diaper cakes!

My mom also got me a beautiful bouquet of lillies since the baby's name is Lily. :)
