27 weeks...Hello 3rd Trimester!

I've finally reach my third trimester.....or just I saw already!! It doesn't seem like long ago I was just finding out I was pregnant....that was 23 weeks ago. We've just started painting the nursery and I've got Little A's stocked up...or starting to anyway. I'm hoping to finish painting and get the flooring down very soon as she will be here before we know it. My baby shower is Aug. 1st, then we start L&D classes and the newborn care and breastfeeding class I'll take. Time is gonna fly and our princess will be here!

I'm starting to get alot bigger and I'm carrying her really low. Everyone thought I would have a boy!

She's still an eggplant! And a very heavy one!

How far along? 27 weeks, 1 day

Maternity clothes? Some shirts and a few pairs of pants but can still fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes pretty well. I just don't button my pants and wear a belt.

Stretch marks? No stretch marks that I've noticed. I'm applying Palmer's lotion.

Sleep? Not too bad this week but I seem to stay on my left side most of the night...still hard to roll over.

Best moment this week? Seeing our little girl in the 3d/4d sonogram. She's a stubborn one but she's so cute...has my nose and cheeks already.

Movement? Yes she's moving a lot these days.

Food cravings? Not many this week.

Gender? It's a GIRL!!!

Labor signs? Nope.

What I miss? Being able to roll over in bed, bend over, and fit into my normal clothes. Also being able to stay outside in the heat for a while and also not having to sit down after standing for now very long.
What I'm looking forward to? Finishing painting the nursery and getting the flooring down.
Belly Button, innie or outtie? Innie still but I can't bend down to see it very well anymore.

Emotions: Still absentmindedness and crying easily. I'm having quite a bit of back pain still and these stinking sciatic nerve pains in my butt!

Milestones this week: Passed my glucose test!!! I got a 133 and the cutoff is 135 so I barely passed but I'm so grateful I don't have to take the 3 hour test.

Finally got something new!!

After having my car for 6 years I finally got something different. It has a lot more room than my car and I love sitting up higher. It'll also be alot easier putting the baby in and also toting around the stroller, etc. I love it!!

I passed!

I hadn't gotten my letter yet from the doctor's office saying whether or not I passed my glucose test so I called yesterday and then nurse said I PASSED! My score was 133 and the cutoff is 135 so I barely squeaked by but I'm so glad I don't have to go back for the 3 hour test. I'd hate to have my blood taken 4 times....ouch!

The countdown is on

I just looked at my pregnancy ticker and it says I have 97 days left until my due date. Less than 100 now!! And I feel like we aren't prepared at all yet. Last night Brandon did paint the top half of the nursery so now we just have to paint the bottom half after we find out whether girl or boy tomorrow. After the painting is done we have to put the wood flooring in then we should be set with the "construction" part of it. Of course we still have to get the furniture and all of the bedding and such but I'll just be happy when we get the painting done and flooring in. It'll start to look like a nursery then!!

26 Weeks

Baby is now the size of an eggplant!
Baby's soaking up your antibodies, getting her immune system ready for life outside the womb. Eyes are forming, and she'll soon be practicing the blink...perfect for batting those freshly grown lashes.

How far along? 26 weeks (no picture yet)

Maternity clothes? Some shirts and a few pairs of pants but can still fit into some my pre-pregnancy clothes. I'm still wearing some pre-preg jeans but they're getting pretty tight even just zipping them and not buttoning.

Stretch marks? No stretch marks that I've noticed. I'm applying Palmer's lotion.

Sleep? Not super bad but I'm now mainly sleeping on my left side and occasionally I find myself waking up on my back.

Best moment this week? Still seeing the baby moving

Movement? Yes mainly around 8-9 in the morning then again around 2 in the afternoons and sometimes when we're going to bed. I've been able to feel it in the middle of the night now too when I'm awake.

Food cravings? Not much this week except for iced animal cookies....which I keep forgetting to go buy..rrr!!

Gender? Still don't know. Finding out Thursday at our 3d/4d pictures!!

Labor signs? Nope.

What I miss? Still sleep.

What I'm looking forward to? Starting the nursery! We got paint this weekend so hopefully tonight we can start.

Milestones: No milestones this week.

Emotions: Very emotional still....I cried quite a bit this weekend. This isn't so much about my emotions but I've had alot of back pain lately. I hope this doesn't mean I'll have bad back labor. :(

We have movement!

Ok so technically I've been feeling the baby move everyday since week 17 but Brandon hadn't ever been able to feel from the outside....until last night that is. We were laying in bed actually talking about the baby and he had his hand on my stomach. All of the sudden I felt the baby move and he said "ewe!" I asked if he had felt it and he said yes!! I was so excited because I've been waiting for that moment for a while. He tried to feel it again and of course it stopped moving but I'm hoping that he will be able to feel the movements more often now. I can now put in the baby book (when I get one)...Daddy felt you move at 25 weeks, 1 day!!

Water everywhere!

It's been raining for what seems like nonstop the last few days and finally yesterday we got some strong storms with flood warnings. We now live out in the country so I was anxious to see if any of the roads were flooded. Sure enough, they were! I ended up having to take a different road than ours just to get home and I still have to drive thru spots of water. Here's a few pics of what yesterday looked like.

Down our driveway

On our road (we did not drive down this!)

10 Months already

I just realized Brandon and I have been married for 10 months!! It'll be a year very soon and it's amazing how fast time has went. I feel like we just got married. I never thought we would already be expecting our first child. Don't get me wrong I am so excited that we are, just didn't think it would happen so quickly for us. P.S. It wasn't an "accident." We were actively trying, I just thought it would take us a while.

Another picture from our big day!

My 1st photo shoot!

I've been wanting to get more into photography and really wanting to get a Canon Rebel camera yet haven't had the money. I mainly just take pictures of us and our dogs and things outside, etc. with my little point & shoot then go on Picnik to edit them. Well last week my brother's fiance asked me if I would take their engagement pictures this weekend. I couldn't pass up this opportunity so of course I said yes! I borrowed a bigger camera from the local college to take them with (my mom works there...love the hookups.) And Sunday after a family cookout we set out to take them. Here's some straight off the camera....I think I did a pretty good job for my first "official" shoot. We took almost 200 so these are just a few and I still have to do the editing.

24 Weeks

Baby is still a papaya...

How far along? 24 weeks

Maternity clothes? Some shirts and a few pairs of pants but can still fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes pretty well. I just don't button my pants and wear a belt.

Stretch marks? No stretch marks that I've noticed. I'm applying Palmer's lotion.

Sleep? I have to switch positions pretty often so it doesn't ever seem like I get much sleep. Just a few middle of the night bathroom breaks this week.

Best moment this week? Being able to see when the baby moves!

Movement? Yes mainly around 8-9 in the morning then again around 2 in the afternoons and sometimes when we're going to bed. I've been able to feel it in the middle of the night now too when I'm awake.

Food cravings? Ice cream a couple times but nothing major. Last night it was Mac n Cheese.

Gender? Still don't know. Will try to find out again on the 24th.

Labor signs? Nope.

What I miss? Still sleep.

What I'm looking forward to? Starting the nursery!

Milestones: I guess maybe just being able to see it move from the outside.

Emotions: Short on patience, absentmindedness big time!

**My goal this week is to pass my glucose test Friday.**

Our New Bed

We finally got a king sized bed!! We've been wanting one for a long time and spotted one at an auction last Monday. I really thought we'd have no chance at getting it or it would go ridiculously high so I didn't have my hopes up. After at least an hour of standing around watching other stuff selling it was finally time to sell the bed. Oh and did I mention this was a whole bedroom set....entire bed (headboard, frame, box springs, & pillowtop mattress), dresser w/ mirror and two night stands. The bidding started and if I remember right someone else started it out and it went up to $70. Brandon looked at me and asked if I wanted it so I said yes so he bid $80. After that no one else bid....WE WON!! I was in shock!! We just got this entire bedroom set for $80...are you kidding me!!! I was so excited to finally have our big bed and for getting it so extremely cheap.

Dresser and Mirror (so much bigger than our other dresser)

And the bed! This thing is big, so big our dogs can't even jump up on it anymore. It doesn't look that high but I really have to crawl into it. It's nice for both of us to have our own nightstand now. I have to get some new bedding now too. :)

P.S. I didn't mention that I can now cross off #64 on my 101 list!!
