It's finally sinking in that my baby girl is isn't such a baby anymore. Yes she's still considered an infant but she's growing so fast and learning so much. She's even outgrown her whale tub and is taking baths in the big tub now.

Silly Girl
I had the diapers sitting next to Lily on the floor and next thing I know she had them all out. She was having so much fun I couldn't take them away right then so I snapped a few pics of her. She always knows when she's being a silly girl.

Doc appt
Lily had her 6 month doctor appt and shots Friday (even though she's almost 7 mths.) She had been sleeping and hadn't had a very good nap before we got there so she was grouchy the whole time. Plus, Brandon wasn't with me so it made it even worse. She weighed 15 lbs 12 oz and was 26" long so she's a little small for her age but I really think she'll always be a petite little thing.
While we were waiting for the doctor to come in the room I had her sitting on the table and she was so tired and cranky she was continuously putting her arms out for me and not happy unless I was holdig her. It broke my heart but that's the first time she's ever held out her arms for me that much. When the doctor came in she immediately started crying so I knew this wasn't going to be a great visit. He said she looked good and since she's been doing good on baby food we can start her on solids, meaning "our" food as long as it's mashed good. I immediately was in shock...can my baby girl be ready for adult food already?
I had to ask him about a rash that's on the back her neck she's been scratching at but he said it was just a heat rash, nothing to be concerned about. She's also sitting up the way she should be and also putting weight on her legs, which she's always done. Sometimes I think she'll be walking before she's crawling.
After the doctor checked her all over it was time for shots. The nurses came in and I set her down the the table one last time and dreaded what was to come. I think Lily knew what was happening because she immediately started crying. She had to get 3 shots and an oral solution but thankfully they did them fast because as soon as they stuck her she started really crying...like couldn't get her breathe crying and that's the worst. I picked her up as soon as they were done but she didn't calm down a whole lot. I quickly got her dressed and put her in her car seat so we could go and she finally stopped. It wasn't long after we pulled out of the drive and she fell asleep.
I hate seeing my daughter so upset, it's heart breaking. We get to wait until she's a year now before shots again.

Sweet Potatoes
We started giving Lily baby food a few weeks ago. Last week we gave her sweet potatoes and she loved them. She did get a little messy though...
She has since done a lot better with them but we still strip her down when she eats her veggies.

4 Months Old
Lily is 4 months today...wow!! Where does the time go???
She is now rolling from her tummy to her back and really trying to go from back to tummy but gets caught then gets mad. :)
She is also "talking" alot and trying to stand on your legs or wherever she can put her feet down really.
She is sleeeping thru the night from about 8-8:30 until 6-6:30 am.
She just recently started eating between 5-6 oz each feeding.
We got for her next checkup and shots on Feb. 11th but she should be at least 12 lbs by now and definitely getting longer.
She is wearing size 3 mth and some 3-6mth clothes and can fit into size 1 shoes.
She's always smiling and is starting to giggle...I found her tickle spot yesterday. :)
She really is the center of our life right now and we love waking up to her everyday!
Here's some recent pics...I still have to get her "4 mth" pic today.

Yay for Lily!!
She has slept all night that last two nights!! Woo hoo!! Monday night she fell asleep at 7:30 and didn't get up until 6:00 the next morning and last night she fell asleep at 8:30 and didn't wake up until 6:30 this morning. Let's hope this is the beginning of sleeping all night always! I'm so proud of my baby girl!
Of course I still wake up multiple times and check to make sure she's breathing. ;)

3 Months
Lily turned 3 months yesterday. Unfortunately we were home sick with her. :(
Monday night I could tell she was congested and when she woke up yesterday morning she was a lot worse. She didn't seem to feel real sick and she was still all smiles but I didn't want to take any chances of getting the kids at the sitter sick...so I stayed home from work to stay with her. I had to give her saline drops twice and I was using the aspirator all day cleaning her nose out. I gave her tylenol last night and this morning and when she got up today she seemed better. I went ahead and took her to the sitter today and gave her the saline drops and aspirator if she needs to use it. Hopefully our little girl will be good as new by Friday.
I didn't get her usual monthly picture in her chair so I'll do that tonight but I get a couple anyway yesterday. Of course I forgot to bring my camera to work with me so I'll have to upload everything tomorrow.

2 Month checkup
Technically Lily is on her way to 3 months right now but Friday we had her "2 month" checkup. I was anxious to see how much she had grown but I was not looking forward to her having her shots. I hate shots myself so I knew this poor little girl wasn't going to like them.
We got called back and immediately undressed her and got her weighed and measured. She is 10 lbs 4 oz and 22" long now!! My baby is growing so fast! :) The doctor then came in and checked her all over and told us she looks great and we are doing a good job with her. Oh how good that makes us feel when we're told that. She had woke up with a runny nose and sneezing Friday so he told me to put some saline drops in her nose and suck it out and thankfully that has helped and she's back to her healthy self again.
When the doctor was done, it was time for the dreaded shots. Two nurses came in and got the needles ready while I held Lily's arms back. She was getting 3 shots and an oral solution to help prevent diarrhea. They both did the first 2 shots at the same time and immediately Lily started crying. I felt so bad for her! One of the nurses did the third shot and it was finally over. I picked her up and calmed her down enough to feed her. She wasn't too bad after that and slept the whole way home and some in the evening. Of course that night she was pretty fussy and had a fever but the nurse said it was normal for that to happen.
We go in Februrary for her 4 month checkup and we'll do the same thing then. Oh how I'm dreading that day already....
