2 Month checkup

Technically Lily is on her way to 3 months right now but Friday we had her "2 month" checkup. I was anxious to see how much she had grown but I was not looking forward to her having her shots. I hate shots myself so I knew this poor little girl wasn't going to like them.

We got called back and immediately undressed her and got her weighed and measured. She is 10 lbs 4 oz and 22" long now!! My baby is growing so fast! :) The doctor then came in and checked her all over and told us she looks great and we are doing a good job with her. Oh how good that makes us feel when we're told that. She had woke up with a runny nose and sneezing Friday so he told me to put some saline drops in her nose and suck it out and thankfully that has helped and she's back to her healthy self again.

When the doctor was done, it was time for the dreaded shots. Two nurses came in and got the needles ready while I held Lily's arms back. She was getting 3 shots and an oral solution to help prevent diarrhea. They both did the first 2 shots at the same time and immediately Lily started crying. I felt so bad for her! One of the nurses did the third shot and it was finally over. I picked her up and calmed her down enough to feed her. She wasn't too bad after that and slept the whole way home and some in the evening. Of course that night she was pretty fussy and had a fever but the nurse said it was normal for that to happen.

We go in Februrary for her 4 month checkup and we'll do the same thing then. Oh how I'm dreading that day already....

Christmas Pictures

I took some Christmas pictures of Lily this weekend. I have to get some more in her dress soon because she started getting grouchy after I had only taken a few. Enjoy!!

2 Months

I can't believe my baby is 2 months old already. We've had to switch her formula because she was having stomach issues and would have a crying fit every night. We thought she was going to get colic but thank goodness she's done better and has only had a few fits since. I took her to the doctor a couple weeks ago and she was weighing over 9 lbs so he said she's growing just like she should be. She loves to look around and she's cooing and making sounds and also smiling alot. I'm very anxious to take her to Thanksgiving because alot of my family hasn't even seen her yet.

Lily Jo

It's been a while since I've updated so I figured I'd better get on here and tell that we finally had our baby girl! I went in for my 39 week doc appt on a Monday and he told me to come in at 6:00 the next morning to be induced. I got hooked up to the monitors and Pitocin started around 7:00, my water was broke at 8:30, received an epidural at 11:00 and after pushing around 45 min, had Lily at 4:13pm. She weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and was 20 1/2" long.

Almost there!!

I'm almost 37 weeks which will make me full term. I've quit taking my Procardia medicine and had my last shot last week. I have a doc appt on Tues. and he said we would talk about delivery then if I hadn't had her yet. I was really hoping to go into labor on my own this weekend but that's not looking too promising. I'm just so ready to have her in my arms even though the realness of labor is starting to make me nervous. Oh and as of last Tuesday I've gained 18 lbs!

How far along? 36 weeks, 4 days

Maternity clothes? Yep!

Stretch marks? Yes at the bottom of my stomach and they seem to be increasing every day.

Sleep? At least 4 bathroom breaks every night and it almost hurts to roll over.

Best moment this week? Nothing....

Movement? Yes but I feel her just moving around more now instead of kicks. She's running out of room though so sometimes it almost hurts when she starts moving.

Food cravings? Not many this week

Gender? Still a GIRL!!!

Labor signs? Lots of Braxton Hicks and a few real ones

What I miss? Being able to roll over in bed, bend over, and fit into my normal clothes.

What I'm looking forward to? Having her!!

Belly Button, innie or outtie? Innie

Emotions: Excited, anxious, worried and of course I can't remember anything!

Milestones this week: None this week, just feeling a few real contractions. Hoping to go into labor real soon!

35 weeks

I turned 35 weeks yesterday and what a relief that was. I know if Lily comes even sometime this week she will be a preemie but she will be mostly developed and should weigh at least 5 lbs. I had a doc appt yesterday and had to take a stress test. I definitely felt contractions but he said it looked ok and now its to the point if I have them 5 min apart its time to head to the hospital. I am definitely getting anxious and excited now that the time has come to have her yet it terrifies me at the same time. Brandon helped pack the diaper bag Monday night and Ive started getting mine ready for when this little girl decides to come.

So far during the pregnancy I have only gained 14 lbs and Im hoping Im able to lose it all plus maybe a little more. My belly button has stayed an innie even though its looking pretty shallow.

34 weeks

yesterday I turned 34 weeks. I wont be doing anymore questionnaires sine I can't do this on my computer but ill try and update the best I can. I've had some big changes since last week. Friday I had my doc appt and after taking a stress test was sent to the hospital for having too many contractions. I spent all Fri night and sat there and got 4 shots to stop contractions and 2 steroid shots to help lily's lungs. I was finally released around 9 Saturday night. However I have been put on stage 3 bedrest until she arrives. Its gonna be a long 6 weeks. Unless she decides to come sooner. I also have to take a pill every 6 hours and get a shot every week at the doc to keep contractions from coming.

Braxton Hicks

It seems like I had quite a few BH contractions yesterday and last night. I think that's the first time I've really had them or they were just more noticeable but man they hurt!! I'm gonna start monitoring them from now on to make sure I don't have more than 4 in an hour since I still have almost 7 weeks left. I guess now I know what the onset of labor feels like.

33 Weeks

She's grown into a honeydew!

"Things are heating up inside as well: Baby may grow up to a full inch this week alone, and his brain is developing like crazy. Pretty soon, he'll be able to coordinate breathing with sucking and swallowing. Also, his bones are hardening, and he's started to keep his eyes open when he's awake."

Another week has passed by and I'm getting so ready for Lily to be here. I can't seem to find very many comfortable positions and my stomach doesn't feel like it can grow anymore. I feel like we're really behind on being prepared for her arrival. We still have to get a pack n play (or maybe just borrow a bassinet for now) and definitely the car seat. Since we didn't get much at the shower I'm pretty stressed about what all we need still....with only 7 weeks left to get it all....uggghhh.

How far along? 33 weeks

Maternity clothes? Mainly just pants and what shirts I have but I can still fit into some of my preprego shirts too.

Stretch marks? Yes at the bottom of my stomach and they seem to be increasing every day.

Sleep? Bathroom breaks every night and it's really hard to roll over now.

Best moment this week? Nothing....

Movement? Yes but I feel her just moving around more now instead of kicks. She's running out of room though so sometimes it almost hurts when she starts moving.

Food cravings? Mainly just ice cream like always

Gender? Still a GIRL!!!

Labor signs? Still Braxton Hicks and I seem to be feeling them more often now.

What I miss? Being able to roll over in bed, bend over, and fit into my normal clothes. Also being able to stay outside in the heat for a while and also not having to sit down after standing for not very long.

What I'm looking forward to? Getting the molding down over the floor and up against the ceiling then the "construction" phase of her room will be done.

Belly Button, innie or outtie? Innie still but it seems to be getting smaller.

Emotions: Excited, anxious, worried and of course I can't remember anything!

Milestones this week: None this week

32 Weeks

I didn't take a 32 week pic since I have my maternity pics on here and it was just 2 days before.

How far along? 32 weeks

Maternity clothes? Mainly just pants and what shirts I have but I can still fit into my preprego shirts pretty well too.

Stretch marks? Yes at the bottom of my stomach and they seem to be increasing every day.

Sleep? Bathroom breaks every night and it's really hard to roll over now.

Best moment this week? Baby shower Sunday and we finished painting her room and got a border up. Also had our last sonogram last Thursday.

Movement? Yes but I feel her just moving around more now instead of kicks. She's running out of room though so sometimes it almost hurts when she starts moving.

Food cravings? None this week

Gender? Still a GIRL!!!

Labor signs? Just some Braxton Hicks, nothing major

Innie still but I can't bend down to see it very well anymore.

Emotions: Still absentmindedness and crying easily. I'm having quite a bit of back pain still and these stinking sciatic nerve pains in my butt!

Milestones this week: Baby shower? Last sonogram?

Maternity Pictures

After my shower Sunday my cousin took a few maternity pictures of me. I think they turned out pretty good for what we had to work with.

Baby Shower!

We had our baby shower Sunday afternoon and I guess by we I should say I...or me and Lily because Brandon wasn't there except to come after it was over and pack up everything in the vehicle. :)

My mom, mother-in law, future sister-in law, and 2 cousins did a great job planning it.

We played a few games, including the string game where everyone cut a piece a string and tried to match it to the girth of my belly. It seems most people think I'm bigger than I am! My grandma ended up winning that one.

After the games everyone was able to get cake and punch and fill out their "Baby Bingo" card.
After I got done eating cake, I proceeded to open presents. The guests had to listen to what I received and mark each off their Bingo sheet and whoever got a bingo first won a prize.

Blanket my Aunt made
I also received 2 very cute diaper cakes!

My mom also got me a beautiful bouquet of lillies since the baby's name is Lily. :)
